“Why does Chrissey love this palm tree dress so much?”
“Why does she love green so much?”
“God, her life is such a mess because her nail polish is chipped.”
Funny enough, this post is about none of those things. It’s not even about how my trenta cup isn’t even a trenta cup… Starbucks lied to me and this cup is actually a VENTI cup, but I’ve called it a trenta cup so many times that now I cannot seem to stop. It just rolls off of my tongue perfectly.
Everyone laughs whenever they see me carrying this monstrous cup. It’s probably because I have baby hands, and I used to do that “omg my hands are sooo small!” bullshit with my ex (and other attractive guys I’ve gone on dates with). I used to be (more) annoying.
Anyways, I’m not going to do something dumb like tell you all the different things that you can fit inside of a trenta cup (like a bottle of wine, an iced chai latte, the souls of all the men you’ve rejected), or persuade you to buy one (the only thing that has come from me buying this cup is that I always have to pee and I have a growing Starbucks addiction).
I’m actually going to share with you, my favorite thing to be sippin’ on in my giant monster cup.
*my* drink, the one that I always get, rain or shine.
An iced green tea made with a cool lime refresher instead of water, only two pumps of sweetener for a Venti
I’m 100% sure that other people do this, but all my friends know this as my drink.
My friends each have a different variation of this, with different refreshers and teas…some even add lemonade, but I’m the only one who gets it like this.
Some variations, in case you’re curious:
- Iced passion fruit tea made with a strawberry acai refresher
- Iced passion fruit tea made with a berry hibiscus refresher
- Iced black tea made with a berry hibiscus refresher
- Iced green tea made with a strawberry acai refresher
- ***add lemonade, if needed to the above! Some people love it, some people hate it (me)
I love tart, citrusy desserts, so of course I like tart, citrusy drinks. I just think this drink is tremendously refreshing because of the mint and lime, and it’s perfect for summer. It also terrifies me that usually Starbucks puts six pumps of sweetener for a Venti, so….two it is. I would drink this all year if it wasn’t freezing cold in Chicago.
