Look Of The Day- Violet Lipstick Edition

I told you guys when I posted that review of the L’Oréal Lip Paints that I was definitely going to use it for my makeup the next day…and lo and behold! I’ll be wearing this lipstick (is this even a lipstick?) tomorrow on its own, but today I paired with my Urban Decay lipstick in Bittersweet for a slightly more muted look.

The full ka=pow of the violet seemed a little too crazy for work, so I opted for this instead. I put a thin layer of my orchid lipstick on the bottom, and put ONE layer of the lip paint on top! I’ve found that this is my favorite way to wear the lip paint so far, because with two layers it can feel a little smooshy for my taste.

I paired this my usual eye makeup look (listen, when I told you guys I wore the same eye makeup every day I was not lying!), and a messy high bun (tbh my hair was kinda dirty). I felt very avant-garde. Out of all the bold lipstick colors (I do not consider red to be bold, to be honest), purples have got to be my favorite.

What’s your favorite type of bold lipstick? Metallics? Ultra glossy? Blues? Purples?

Have a great day!
