A lot of people always ask me how I do my makeup and what products I use, so I decided to do a post of what products I use in my makeup routine! These products (except lip color) seldom change, and I am notorious for using the same products continuously. To be fully honest, I do the same makeup and I just switch out my eye shadows or lip colors depending on the occasion!
I’ve done a Snapchat-style makeup tutorial, and I’ve written a full-out guide to makeup. But I use a few different products now, although both those tutorials are still informative! I plan on slowly re-vamping that guide, especially since a lot of those links have been removed since the products are discontinued. But that is for another time.
Anyways, these are the current products that I have be non-stop and consistently using in my makeup routine. I highly recommend and adore each and every one of these products.
This is an absolutely amazing moisturizer. It is non-greasy, absorbs quickly, and is ultra moisturizing. It hydrates and moisturizes your face quickly, and you only need a small amount for your entire face. My skin has been dry recently so using a high-quality moisturizer is a crucial step in my routine.
I use this as a primer for my eyelids and for my face! I apply a tiny bit to my face and lids, and it really works wonderfully! It is a tiny bit dry if you have dry skin, but when my skin is oily like usual it’s perfect. It provides a truly soft matte and smooth surface for my makeup, and truly makes it last!
This is an absolutely amazing tinted moisturizer that I have praised about endlessly. It is lightweight, natural, and truly lets my skin breathe and showcases its natural quirks. It isn’t heavy or greasy, and is super blendable and moisturizing. It’s my holy grail tinted moisturizer, and absolutely perfect year-round.
I use this as a concealer for any problem spots or under my eyes. It is nice and blendable, and buildable. It is pigmented, but also extremely lightweight and long-lasting. It is weightless and isn’t heavy or cakey.
I have been using this palette non-stop since I purchased it last month. The mattes are pigmented and blendable; they are not hard, chalky, or streaky. The shimmers are ridiculously pigmented, and buttery smooth. The shadows apply beautifully and the palette is the perfect mix of colors. There are trendier shades such as terracotta and lilac-brown, but also staple nudes of various warmths and tones. It is an extremely versatile palette, and perfect for day or night!
This eyeliner is the best eyeliner that I have ever used. It is extremely pigmented, easy to apply, and does not crease or fade. It lasts all day, but does not irritate my eyes or give me styes! It does not smudge, and is one of the few liners that you can layer. I love how there is a specific “stage” where you can pick up product, so there is no bacteria transfer.
This is an absolutely spectacular setting powder. It is all natural, and sets my makeup to the point where it is basically bulletproof. It isn’t chalky, heavy, or weirdly tinted, and blends out beautifully. There isn’t a weird white cast, and it doesn’t photograph strangely. It is truly, a translucent powder. It is the only translucent powder I have tried that I’ve liked, as I didn’t use powder before discovering this one! It doesn’t make my face look too matte or flat either. I absolutely hate that.
If you want your brow game to be 100, you need this eyebrow pencil. The thin tip makes it so easy to use and maneuver, and also makes it so that you can make fine strokes to fill in your brow. The result is a perfect, flawless, natural-looking eyebrow. The pencil is long-lasting, and also blends out beautifully to create that natural brow look. Seriously, it’s amazing. If I were to say that one thing on this list is a must-have, it is this.
This costs less than a latte and sets my eyebrows perfectly. I’ve used it on its own, and find that it performs much better paired with an eyebrow pencil. This brow gel isn’t goopy or heavy, and it really makes your brows bulletproof.
This is a natural, effortless highlighter. It is the absolute easiest one to use, and provides a beautiful natural kind of glow. It is buildable, creamy, easy to blend out, and creates the perfect pop! A small amount will go a long way, and creates a healthy, natural kind of highlight. It truly is amazingly easy to use, and even though it’s pricey ($30) the one purchase would probably last forever. I’ve barely made a dent in mine and I’ve had it for almost a year!
NYC Cheek Stain–discontinued.
I’m not going to go into too much detail because this is discontinued, and you guys don’t really have a chance to purchase it. I don’t want to recommend anything that you can’t purchase!
This highlighter is amazing. It is super pigmented, and super buildable. When I apply this over the Benefit one, it always generates this spectacular glow that people always ask me about! The texture is really an interesting one–it’s not a cream nor a powder product, it’s like a combination of both. Imagine touching wet velvet. It’s super blendable and smooth, and an absolutely phenomenal highlighter. If I wasn’t boring, I think I would own various shades of this product.
This bronzer was on my “maybe baby” list for a long, long, long time. I couldn’t justify the $15 price tag for a drugstore product. But this is the only bronzer I’ve tried that I actually love, and it never makes me look unnatural. The subtle bronzing and contour that this product provides is extremely natural and absolutely beautiful. My cheeks are a little chubby so I like a little bit of definition, but am not by any means a fan of Instagram contour. So the fact that this product gives me light, natural warm and definition makes it a total winner. And it smells amazing.
This is literally the only mascara that doesn’t irritate my eyes, and that I don’t hate! It is the only mascara that I can use, and is the only one that doesn’t give me styes. It is smudge-proof, cry-proof, but it washes off easily at the end of the day. One of the best things is that when I wash it off, my lashes feel nourished and moisturized! It is all natural, and makes my lashes look natural and defined.
So, these are all the products that I use in my makeup routine! These are all wonderful, and highly recommended. I’ve tweaked my routine over time, but these are my current loves. They’re each a crucial part of my routine! I hope that this post helped, and if you ever need any recommendations, don’t ever hesitate to ask!
