My Current Beauty Favorites

I haven’t done a beauty favorites post in quite some time, so I decided to share with you guys my current favorites! I always love reading these sorts of posts because I always find new intriguing products, some of which later become favorites of my own!

I haven’t blogged about these products before but if you follow me on Twitter you might be able to guess what I’m going to mention… ps, if you don’t follow me on Twitter, come join the fun! I swear I’m kind of funny!

I have been good about sticking to my new posting schedule (Mondays and Thursdays!) even though I have definitely been tempted to be posting on the daily! There’s a lot of different decisions and things going on in my personal life that has been occupying my mind. I’m excited to tell you all about it when the time is right!

I have been doing the same eye makeup recently and always get questions about which products I use and what I’ve been using. I have been posting the same eye makeup on Instagram and have really loved all of these products. Used together, they make for the ultimate effortless and easy casual smoky eye.

Urban Decay Anti-Aging Eyeshadow Primer- This primer needs no introduction. It is the best eyeshadow primer and has ultimate cult status. It truly makes my shadows stay all day and is the best eyeshadow primer I’ve used! I bought this on sale at Sephora for $7, which is a prime example of why you always have to keep your eyes peeled for a good deal! You only need a tiny bit so this tube will last me a long while.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Lounge- One of my favorite tricks to make your one eyeshadow look seem complex is to use a duochrome eyeshadow. This shadow from UD is a beautiful duochrome metallic dark green/brick red. It’s the perfect shade to do a light wash wish or to build up to a simple smokey eye. Urban Decay shadows are ridiculously pigmented and extremely buildable and blendable.

L’Oréal Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liquid Liner in Black This is the only liquid liner that’s not a pen that I will use. It’s my all-time favorite liquid liner and the first (and only one) that I find easy to use! I learned how to do my liquid liner using this liner. It’s perfect for beginners because the felt tip makes it so easy to use, plus there’s no feathering or weirdness from the brush tip because it is a felt tip! The liner is pigmented and doesn’t fade.

LUSH Cosmetics Eyes Right MascaraI have raved about this mascara countless times! It’s one of my ultimate favorites and I love that it conditions my lashes and nourishes them. I use this mascara as a base mascara because it perfectly separates and lengthens my lashes. Plus it makes it so my lashes are conditioned and soft!

Tarte Cosmetics Lights Camera Lashes Mascara I never thought that I would find a second mascara that I LOVE but this one is so damn amazing. It makes my lashes look absolutely phenomenal and gives them tons of length and volume without being clumpy or heavy! It doesn’t flake off or smudge and just makes my lashes look so damn good. I absolutely love this mascara. If my bare lashes were Diana Prince, then my lashes with this mascara would be Wonder Woman!

Urban Decay Brow Box I ran out of brow products (I’m not even going to pretend like my brows aren’t important in my routine) so I decided to try out this brow box from UD because it was on sale! I was really hesitant at first because it’s a brow powder and clear wax, but I have to admit that I really really love this product. The wax perfectly sets my brows and the powder is so natural and easy to apply and blend out. I love that it comes with tweezers, and two brushes (I use one for wax and one for powder) because it keeps things sanitary! It’s so portable for how much it includes! I use the shade Brown Sugar.

I’m thinking about doing an eyebrow tutorial and extensive review because not many people know how to use brow wax and powder! By the way, it’s still on sale for $9 on the website, here.

I seldom blog about skincare on the blog, mostly because my skincare routine was kind of non-existent until I graduated college. I used to just wash my face with baby wipes and that was about it! Now, I have my own simple, but effective routine that I follow to take care of my skin!

Beauty 360 Micellar Water Cleansing Cloths- I got these cleansing cloths from CVS as a freebie and I have been in love with them. They truly cleanse my face and wipe off every stitch of makeup that I have on my face! Mascara comes off like a breeze and the wipes truly leave my skin feeling fresh and clean! They are perfect for travel and stay saturated! I store them upside down so that the micellar water is evenly dispersed over the wipes.

Feiya Acne Lotion- My cousin William got me on this acne lotion, it is his holy grail product for acne and it is definitely effective! I apply it to any small spots and they instantly disappear overnight! It’s potent, effective, and worth the price tag! Although potent, it doesn’t dry out my skin or irritate it!

Deciem The Ordinary Niacinamide + Zinc Serum- I have been using this for long enough to see results and I think it’s a phenomenal product. It truly evens out my skin tone, and any spots or blemishes. The previously apparent difference in color between my cheeks and the rest of my face is slowly fading, and my skin tone is starting to appear more even and smooth. It’s definitely worth the $6! I’m interested in trying out more products from Deciem because they’re so inexpensive but effective!

CeraVe Moisturizing Cream- I started using moisturizer regularly after college when it became apparent that my skin needed the extra hydration and retention of moisture. I used the IT Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream sample that I received from Ulta for four months.. until it ran out. I couldn’t justify the $48 price tag for two ounces so I set off to google a dupe. I was on Amazon and saw that this cream had over 3,000 good ratings! I ordered it for $10 from Target and it arrived!

Upon first application, I knew that I had fallen in love. It goes on smoothly and effortlessly and truly hydrates my skin without leaving it greasy or nasty. There’s no gross smell and although it is thick and luxurious, it is not heavy or cakey. My skin feels fresh, plump, and moisturized whenever I use it. It’s my favorite moisturizer I’ve tried and is phenomenal for the inexpensive price tag. You get a GIGANTIC tub for $9!

I love lipstick. Here are my current favorites for this month (except Kat Von D’s Lolita and Marc Jacobs’ Kiss Kiss Bang Bang which I’ve already blogged about).

Mongokiss Lip Balm- This lip balm is all natural and organic, plus it has quality ingredients and goes on like a dream. It leaves my lips feeling smooth and moisturized and makes them super soft. You get a lot of product (this lip balm is lowkey gigantic) and it’s definitely worth the $3.

Essence Longlasting Lip Liner in Lovely Frappucino- This was my first retractable lip liner that I tried and I immediately fell in love. The liner stays all day while simultaneously being non-drying and creamy. It is incredibly pigmented and was a total game changer in my makeup routine! (I talk all about it in this post!)

Too Faced Cosmetics Melted Liquid Lipstick in Melted Chihuahua- This lipstick is the perfect not-nude, nude shade on my lips and is perfect for interviews, presentations or any occasion where you need a little color but don’t want to be too bold with your makeup. It’s pigmented and goes on smooth.

NYX Matte Lipstick in Whipped Caviar- This pretty lipstick was my OG signature lipstick shade my junior year of college. It’s a perfect flattering mauve shade that looks great on pretty much anyone. It’s perfect especially for spring when you want a little more pink in your neutral lipsticks. Although it is matte it is definitely not drying and is incredibly pigmented! Every lipstick I’ve tried from this formulation has been great.

Colorpop Lippie Stix in Brink- This is another OG classic shade. It is a perfect nude lipstick shade that is universally flattering. It’s supposedly a dupe for Velvet Teddy by MAC but I have only tried Velvet Teddy a handful of times. I think the shades are similar but the Colourpop formulation is indefinitely better than MAC. It’s creamy, pigmented and glides on easily. I find MAC lipsticks to be drying and hard in texture.

Urban Decay Good Karma Optical Blurring Brush- My friend Megan recommended this brush to me and when Sephora had it on sale I jumped at the chance to buy it! It’s my holy grail, perfect face brush and is so versatile. Although phenomenal for liquid products, I use it with my powders and it blends them out seamlessly and effortlessly. I use it for my MAC powder foundation, my bronzer, and blush! This has been my long-time favorite but I’ve never shared a photo on my blog so I decided to today!

ELF Cosmetics Studio C Eyeshadow Brush- I still use my H&M brush but I find that this dense and precise eyeshadow brush comes in handy! I was pleasantly surprised at how high quality and well-made this eyeshadow brush was as it only cost $3! It’s a really nice brush and a total steal for the cost.

These are my current beauty favorites! All of these products have been my go-tos for the past few weeks and are undeniably phenomenal! What have you guys been loving recently? Are there any new products that you’ve discovered or tried this month?
