I’m extremely low maintenance when it comes to my hair. I like simple, easy hair that looks like I put a whole lot of effort into it when I completely one hundred percent did not.
A lot of you guys have noticed that I’ve been switching up my hair recently… I almost always have my hair done in Kate Middleton inspired curls.
(Both these photos were taken in my car this morning as I waited for the Nissan service repairmen)
It always gets tons of compliments and people always ask me how I do my hair! The thing is… it’s so incredibly easy. The secret is, old school foam rollers.
Yup, like the ones your grandma uses.
I have the twelve pack of these by Conair.
I start by washing my hair, and then letting it completely air dry. If I’m feeling lazy, I will blow dry. The point is–your hair has to be COMPLETELY DRY. Not a smidge of moisture here, folks! We want our hair drier than the Sahara.
I’ve tried this technique on damp or “almost dry” hair and it makes the curls fall after like two minutes. And then half of your hair is curled and the other half is damp and soggy….
Anyways, DRY hair.
I place three curlers on each side of my head, and one on the very top with the “crown” hair. Remember to curl your hair AWAY from your face for a windswept look.
And then I just sleep on my hair. The curlers are a little uncomfortable to sleep in, but I think the results are worth it!
In the morning, your hair should be curled and beautiful! Be gentle in removing the curlers.
Day two should be slightly less curly but still pretty.
Even day three is still a little curly! I usually like to recurl my hair after day two though, because I like CURLS!
That is all there is to it! I don’t use any products or anything… these curls really do last!
“The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries or the way she combs her hair.”
What are your current haircare faves? What do you do for a hair routine? Do you curl your hair or straighten it?
