My Go-to Lazy Makeup Routine

I have a confession to make. Although I have found a foundation that I wholeheartedly love (the Tarte Cosmetics Water Foundation, it is lightweight yet pigmented and the BEST), I have found that most days I skip foundation.

*****i am currently traveling and typing this post on my phone and I will update this post with links ASAP! sorry guys!

As I get older (and lazier? busier?), I have found that I wear less and less makeup on a usual day. I spend more money on products that are really amazing, but as a whole my routine is short and I use less products. I honestly don’t have tons of time in the morning, and I don’t like messing around with too many products. A full glam makeup artist look just isn’t reasonable for my daily life. I’ll knock out a gold smoky daytime eye from time to time, but most days….. I like simple, natural, and doable.

(There are no lip products on my lips because I just came home from dinner whoops!)

So, here’s what I use to get that lazy, semi effortless but pulled together look!

I know someone is going to give me shit for buying this. You’re gonna be like “MAAAM what are you doing.” Although La Mer is definitely not in my budget, I make an exception for this lip balm. I would tell you not to try it, because once you do, you will be hooked and part of the financially unstable beauty product club. It makes my lips buttery soft and ultra smooth. It’s very healing and hydrating. I use it every night before bed and throughout the day.

This primer from Honest Beauty makes my skin feel really, really freaking nice. My skin feels plump, fresh, and nourished. It gives you that “just got a hydro facial” feel and look.

This tinted sunscreen is super sheer. It’s like a barely there tint. But it keeps your skin protected and helps it stay matte. I like that it helps enhance my natural skin, light imperfections and all. I especially love how the sunscreen is reef cafe, clean and natural!

The concealer I use is from Pacifica. This is the best concealer I have ever used. I only use it on my under eyes and it covers up all of my dark circles. I blend it all out with a DRY beauty blender, because I find that it works way better than a damp one. This concealer is long lasting, pigmented, and blends like a dream. It’s also a clean product, so there’s that.

I’ve tried shape tape, Nars concealer, and many others, but this one is just so damn good.

I dust this W3LL PEOPLE bronzer all over my face. This is another clean product. It gives me a subtle and natural glow and lightly contours my face as well. It adds some extra warmth and dimension that I really appreciate.

I also use a Kosas blush and highlight duo. I’m gonna be honest, this product is nice but it’s a little powdery for my taste. And the powder unloads easily and you really need a bit to get a flush. I prefer to use my fingers to dab some on, it gives a much more natural look!

I love this mascara from Thrive Causmatics. I currently also use a bit on my brows as a brow gel as well. The mascara really lengthens, and separates my lashes really, really well. I find that it doesn’t make my lashes super thick though, but I do like it for the length! It’s a very good natural mascara. Also clean!

My eyeliner is not clean but it’s the best eyeliner I’ve used. It’s pigmented, easy to use, and super precise. It’s from Em Cosmetics, designed by Michelle Phan, who is an artist in all aspects. I honestly love this eyeliner.

Also! Earlier today (before dinner) I was wearing this really lovely gloss from Neutrogena. It’s not sticky, is super hydrating, and comes in a bunch of colors! I’m kind of in a lip gloss renaissance. I was recently really into matte until I picked up this gloss from Neutrogena. I love this bright coral shade.

Well friends, that’s what my usual makeup routine is! Super fast, easy, and with the bare essentials of products. I’m going to be testing out a bunch of glossier products for you all soon, so stay tuned for a review! Oh and I’m going to do a what’s in my bag post or video soon too! I hope you all had a great week!
