My Most Requested Makeup Tutorial

I posted a few Snapchats the over the weekend and a bunch of you guys asked me for the details behind the makeup look. It’s so simple but somehow my most requested makeup look! I paired my current favorite: a simple but pretty matte makeup look, with a half french braid fishtail combo. It’s honestly super easy to do, and I would feel guilty if I took credit for it! But I’ll explain it below, after sharing my little matte makeup tutorial. I had been looking at various small, but simple matte eyeshadow palettes but struggled to find one that fit me well. One of the biggest makeup lessons I had to learn was how to properly identify my coloring and to buy products that suit me. Cool-toned eyeshadow palettes are significantly more flattering on me and there aren’t too many out there! I picked up the Physicians Formula Matte Quad in Canyon Classics. It”s the perfect matte, neutral cool-toned eyeshadow palette. The palette is pigmented and the shadows are buttery smooth. They blend like a dream …

My Top 5 Holy Grail Beauty Products

I have admittedly tried a lot of products. But when I find a holy grail product, boy do I find a holy grail product. Once I find an absolutely amazing product that blows me away, I bond to it for life. I decided to share my five products, THE five beauty products that I would only subside on if I was absolutely forced to. Shockingly enough, there is a hair product in here too which says a lot because I am incredibly lazy with my hair. This is my deserted island, ride or die list. I managed to somehow pick only five items, although I admit that it was hard to pick only five. But nevertheless I persisted! So, let’s take a peek into my beauty bag… (PS I do not keep my hair products in here or anything like that, it just sounded better than “let’s get started” because that’s what I always say!) Urban Decay Brow Box in Brown Sugar This is my go-to, ride or die eyebrow kit. I used to hate …

Memorial Day Weekend (Food, Sass, Outfits!)

Since I feel like I’ve been slacking on the “life” part of lifestyle, I decided to try a new kind of post where I share what I’ve been wearing, eating and up to! What better weekend to recap than Memorial Day Weekend? So, let get started! Thursday: I know that Thursday doesn’t really count as the weekend but I told you all last week that I was going to share my outfit details from the event I had last week! My cousin William (who is in my snaps!) was officially “pinned” to be treasurer of his high school’s Key Club and we all headed to Town Hall for the ceremony! I wore an olive green shirt dress with my favorite nude t-strap pumps. I paired it with my usual Kate Spade bag for a fun pop of color and wore my makeup and hair like I usually do! My lipstick is Revlon Colorstay Overtime in Infinite Raspberry. Overall, I think that it’s a chic but lowkey refined look. I’ve been loving shirtdresses recently and this …

My May Beauty Favorites

If you guys haven’t figured it out already, you can usually peep Thursday’s video early by subscribing to my Youtube channel. But that’s only if you’re super curious and wanna see content early. I will warn you though, I don’t post videos regularly and all the videos I do post inevitably end up in a blog post. BUT if you subscribe you get to see them early, and make me happy, so… there’s that! In the future though, expect monthly favorites (weekly is far too often) and that they’ll all be included in the video. I’m going to be 100% honest and say that I may switch from posts one month to videos another because I am totally testing the waters and trying out this video thing. After this month, my favorites will be all sorts of different things and not solely beauty related! I’ve tried some new products this month and I’ve discovered a few holy grail products. I’m definitely excited to share them all with you and to tell you guys all about them! …

The Only Foundation I Don’t Hate (But LOVE)

I honestly think I have stumbled upon the best foundation ever. I have scientifically determined this because I hate foundations and this is the only one that I have found myself loving. And trust me, I am in love. Here are some things I hate about foundation: Looks heavy, cakey, and unnatural. Feels heavy on my face. Rubs off on everything. Does not last long. Breaks me out. My face gets gross and oily super fast. My face gets shiny. Hard to blend. Makes my face photograph weird. ETC I found that using powder over my moisturizer worked best for me when it came to face products. I mean, I’m someone that doesn’t even like using a primer! I had come to terms with my face makeup laziness and was in no mood to change ways. I had tried many, many foundations the past (which are good in their own way) but never found one that I’ve loved. I really liked the Loreal Cushion makeup but wasn’t absolutely obsessed. I think by now you guys …

What’s In My Kate Spade Purse? (And EXCITING News!!!)

Alright, I have a special surprise for all of you… (the OTHER exciting news will be at the end of this blog post). I have decided to make a VIDEO this time. YES. A video. Pow! Jess from PT Contender told me that I should try to give making videos another chance and so that is what I did the other day. As you all know, there was a makeup tutorial that was supposed to be posted Tuesday but that ended up being a gigantic mess. I will have to re-film it. Anyways, I wanted to make a fun and casual video for you all sharing what I carry in my crossbody bag for spring! My HUGE green Kate Spade (my usual bag) came from Chicago today (it took my mom long enough to mail me my stuff lol. But thank you mom!) so you may get an updated version in a few weeks… but for now… Here’s what’s in my purse! AS FOR MY EXCITING NEWS… A lot of you have been following me …

Lipstick That Lasts Longer Than Your Last Relationship

This story starts like many of my stories–in a Target. I happen to love Target, by the way. I think you guys are all well aware of that but I just wanted to make sure. (I know someone is going to accuse me of being sponsored by Target, but I’m really not. I wish I was lol). I was perusing the aisles with my aunts, my grandmother, and my cousin William when my Aunt Tiana stopped me for a moment and asked, “Christine, I want a lipstick that will last all day after eating and drinking, one that won’t fade. Which one should I get?” She asked the right person for the job, as I pointed to this Revlon lipstick that I had heard phenomenal things about. One thing led to another, and I ended up with one myself. That kind of thing just happens in Target, and I tell myself that it’s so common that it can’t be characterized as a bad habit. I had heard tons of phenomenal things about the Revlon Colorstay …
